The Polish Easter holiday has a religious shape. On Holy Saturday, families fill the little one Basket with – Świeconki – symbolic Easter dishes: painted eggs, bread, butter, sausage and horseradish Baskets, also prohibited in the basket, are always there green, decorated bows and lace napkins. Day 1: Thursday: Arrival to Szczecin.
Day 2: Friday: Dworek Tradycja – Szczecin Tour.
Half-day trip to Dworek Tradycja in Bełczna. Participation in workshops related to the tradition of Easter in Poland. We invite you to Easter workshops at the atmospheric Dworek Tradycja in Bełczna. The over 300-year history of the house and its many secrets and attractions make your stay here a unique experience. Dworek remembers the vastness of turbulent, beautiful and strange stories. For decades he was surrounded by ordinary life, of which he is a vivid memory today. The house once housed an inn and a pastor’s house, after the war it housed the poviat archive, and several dozen years ago it also served as a village school. In this unusual scenery, we will have the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of Easter and prepare for it a bit during the workshops. As part of your stay at Dworek Tradycja, we offer:
culinary workshops – during which we will prepare a cake for cupcakes, which will be beautifully decorated after baking art and technical workshops – during which we will prepare Easter decorations (various methods and forms to choose from, e.g. decorations made using the decoupage method)
After returning to Szczecin, we invite you to participate in Pashion Plays with an evening procession in one of the parishes in Szczecin located in the northern districts of Szczecin. Every year, this staging of the Way of the Cross gathers crowds of Szczecin residents and tourists. Over one hundred and fifty people perform in the street spectacle, from amateurs to professional actors.

Day 3: Saturday – Kamien Pomorski.
On the next day, after breakfast, we invite you for a trip to Kamien Pomorski. In the village we will see the cathedral of St. John the Baptist. One of the most important sacred buildings in Western Pomerania. We will learn about its history and the contemporary significance related to the festival of organ music. Optional: organ music concert.
You will also have an opportunity to get acquainted with a beloved and enduring Polish tradition – Świeconka, colorfull baskets containing a sampling of Easter foods are brought to church to be blessed on Holy Saturday.
Day 4: Sunday – Szczecin Guided Tour.
Szczecin is that the foremost important city in northwestern Poland. Located along the Odra River. From Szczecin there is only 10 km to the the German border, it’s a also both the political, cultural as industrial capital of the West Pomeranian region. war II destroyed most of Szczecin’s historic city centre.
